Lubov Alvei is an accomplished music educator and performer who has built a distinguished international career as a vocal coach, performer, and music educator, combining the traditions of classical vocal artistry with the expressive depth of musical theater performance.  Her passion is to nurture the hearts and minds of young artists.  She holds an M.A. in Music from the Moscow University of Culture, and completed an advanced summer course in Musical Theatre Composition at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts under Michael Wartofsky - graduating with distinction in 2009. Her professional foundation began in 1976–1977, when she completed coursework in professional musical theatre, (studying, acting, and performing as an actress and ensemble member in a professional student musical theatre company). Throughout her teaching career, Ms. Alvei’s students have earned gold and silver medals in vocal competitions singing classical and musical theatre repertoire ,and have performed on world-renowned stages including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center (New York, NY), as well as Ehbar Hall (Vienna, Austria), and venues across Slovenia, Germany, and Poland. A dedicated mentor and artist, Ms. Alvei integrates classical as well as musical theatre vocal technique, acting methodology, and stylistic versatility into her teaching philosophy, guiding each student toward authentic, expressive, and technically sound performance.  In addition to her experience in teaching classical vocal artistry and musical theater, Lubov is an award winning composer who's original compositions have been performed throughout many institutions in Europe, most notably the Vienna Austria Conservatory, and in many cities throughout the US.  Lubov loves to share her passion for voice, vocal theater, instrumental piano, music theory, and song writing composition with students of all ages and skill levels who are eager to learn.
